Crochet Pattern: The Cyber Stitch Distressed Hoodie

Sale price£6.00

Please note this listing is for a digital crochet PDF PATTERN which will be immediately downloadable, not a finished item!

❉ What you get:

Create an edgy and bad-a$$ Cyber Stitch Distressed Hoodie for yourself with this 28 Page pattern! This pattern includes a mixture of written instructions and supporting photos for visual learners.

The Cyber Stitch Distressed Hoodie is an oversized, relaxed fit cropped hoodie featuring front and back D-Ring attachment points, perfect for adding metal or acrylic chains- or even eyelet tape! This pattern encourages endless customization and personalization:
Make your sleeves distressed or non-distressed,
Make your sleeves striped or solid,
Make your sleeves whole or split and attached with safety pins,
Make short cuffs or extra long cuffs with thumb holes,
Make your hoodie as cropped or as long as you like,
And follow the pattern to a T, or go wild and add as many distressed patches as you like!

Endless colour and style variations are possible, meaning only your imagination and personal aesthetic is the limit! Let's make fashion DIY again. Let's make it YOU.

❉ Supplies Needed:

Yarn - Because this pattern allows for so much customization and personalization, I strongly recommend using a yarn which you can easily purchase more of in case you initially under-buy.

Total project weight: 600g aran/heavier worsted weight yarn or LIKELY MORE or LESS depending on your unique size and style choices (approx. 1200m/1315yds)
If you make one split sleeve with accent colour stripes, as depicted in the listing photos, this would require, for example:
- Main Colour: 530g aran yarn, or LIKELY MORE or LESS more depending on your unique size and style (approx. 1060m/yds). Equivalent to 88% of overall weight.
- Accent Colour: 70g aran yarn, or LIKELY MORE or LESS more depending on your unique size and style (approx. 140m/yds). Equivalent to 12% of overall weight.

GAUGE: 4 x 4 inches = 12 hdc x 10 rows. It is important that you meet the gauge for this project. If you don’t meet the gauge, you may have to make your own adjustments around the shoulders, neckline and hood in order for them to fit properly, and I cannot advise on this because I do not understand your unique tension and yarn the way you do. Additional information is given in the pattern for what to look for in yarn substitutions.

All Notions-

Hooks: 5.5mm, 4.5mm
Notions: Locking stitch markers, yarn needle, scissors, flexible measuring tape
Two 25mm/1 inch D-Rings
Several 38mm and 50mm safety pins (exact number varies based on size)
Either Two sets of pre-made chains of sufficient length OR two 35mm swivel lobster clasps, plus heavy weight curb chain and two pliers OR various substitutes [See ‘Hardware’ (pg. 26) in the pattern for full suggestions and info on what exactly to look for when purchasing.]

❉ Experience Level:

This pattern is suitable for a confident adventurous beginner. Please read my FAQ for more information on the experience level required for my patterns.

You must be able to meet a gauge. Please note this is not a beginner's tutorial and you will need to already know basic crochet stitches (including increase/decrease), how to work from your own measurements and how to try on your work as you go to ensure a good fit.
The style of this finished piece requires working with non-crochet elements including D-Rings, safety pins, chains and pliers.

❉ Sizing:

This pattern is made to measure and can be used to make a finished piece to fit any body. It is designed to have an oversized, relaxed fit. The length of the hoodie can be lengthened if desired.

❉ Pattern Notes:

This pattern uses US crochet terms.
